I was just informed that, in any media, the Doctor has never been to Canada. I want to disagree. Of course he’s been to Canada! He goes on holiday there all the time! The only reason we never see that is because nothing bad ever happens in Canada. Aliens are inherently repelled by their excessive usage of maple syrup and “oot and aboot.” So whenever the Doctor feels he needs a break, he just spends a couple months at a time as a Mountie in rural Quebec.
